St Emilia’s Playgroup
St. Emilia's Playgroup, launched in February 2024, provides a nurturing environment that supports children’s development. Each session offers a variety of activities designed to promote growth in key developmental areas, including socialization and play. The sessions conclude with a shared meal, fostering a sense of community among participants. Held monthly at the community centre, these gatherings provide a safe and welcoming space for children and families to connect.

Each month, activities at St. Emilia's Playgroup are centered around specific themes, giving children the opportunity to explore and develop an understanding of a wide range of topics. So far this year, we've explored themes such as family, fruits and vegetables, opposites, science, and more. In addition to these worldly themes, our program also nurtures children’s understanding of our faith.

Each month, we focus on significant religious feasts and Saints, including the Presentation of the Lord to the Temple, St. Emilia, the Dormition of the Theotokos, and others. These thoughtfully curated explorations offer children valuable insights into the rich traditions and beliefs of our faith, supporting their spiritual development alongside their broader education.

St. Emilia’s Playgroup meets monthly from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the community centre, and is open to children aged 0-5 years. We warmly invite families to join us for engaging activities that foster early childhood development and socialization in a caring, supportive environment.
