Trivia Night 2025

After weeks and weeks of careful planning and preparation, over 180 people gathered together at St Paul’s Antiochian Orthodox Church to participate in their annual family trivia night! This event is always a major highlight of the church's calendar, full of joy, laughter, friendly competition and time well spent in good company—and this year was no exception.

At 6:30, the doors of the reception hall opened. People began filing in, tables quickly filled, and anticipation steadily built. After a few quick icebreakers, the night officially began. Each table dove straight into the first rounds of trivia, and with no recycled content from previous years, Sam Rabba — the events MC and trivia host — had once again outdone himself.

Sam’s skills as an MC were rivaled only by the sultry, silken voices of the entire reception hall belting out pop lyrics from across the decades during the ‘Finish the Lyrics’ round. Their impromptu chorus of singing carried into the kitchen, where Luke Nasrawi and the youth committee were hard at work ensuring that every mouth would be fed. The menu that night — chicken parmas and lasagna — was, by all accounts, nothing short of excellent. After dinner the night went on, with more games, food and laughter, everyone’s spirits were high as teams competed for first place.

As the evening wound down and the last guests said their goodbyes, it was clear that the cumulative efforts of the youth committee, kitchen team, Sam, and everyone else who had volunteered their time had all come to fruition, providing a joyful night for our Saint Paul’s community to gather and spend together in fellowship.
