St Paul’s Family Camp 2026
“Come Out From Among Them”
From 18–21 September, St Paul’s Antiochian Orthodox Church came together for a wonderful Family Camp at Allambee Camp, sharing four memorable days of fellowship, faith, family and fun.
With more than 80 participants representing 20 families, the camp provided a special opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend meaningful time together as a church community.
This year’s theme, “Come Out From Among Them,” invited us to reflect more deeply on our Orthodox Christian faith and the way we live it out in our daily lives. Through a series of planned sessions, participants were divided into three target groups — adults, youth and children — allowing each group to explore the theme in an age-appropriate and meaningful way. Together, we unpacked 2 Corinthians 6:17 and reflected on our virtues and passions, encouraging us to consider how our relationship with Christ shapes who we are and how we live.
Beyond the sessions, the weekend was filled with opportunities for bonding, fellowship and growth. Families enjoyed quality time together through icebreaker games, trivia, board games and card games, creating plenty of laughter and opportunities to strengthen friendships across our church community.
There was also plenty of adventure! During the day, participants challenged themselves on the Billy Carts, while others enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation during a bush hike through the surrounding nature.
At the heart of the camp was our shared worship. We came together to serve Vespers, Matins and Divine Liturgy, giving us the opportunity to pray, worship and grow together as one church family.
And, of course, a family camp would not be possible without the many hands that make it happen. There was a full house of hands-on deck in the kitchen, with families working together to prepare, cook and clean throughout the weekend. This spirit of service and teamwork was a beautiful reflection of the community we are blessed to share.
The 2026 Family Camp was a wonderful reminder of the importance of faith, family and fellowship. We are grateful for the many people who contributed their time, energy and talents to make the weekend so special, and we look forward to continuing to grow together as the family of St Paul’s.
